America VS France

Beaucoup de personne ici sont choquées quand je leur apprends que le beurre de cacahuète n'est pas vraiment populaire et que en soit, ca n'existe pas vraiment !

Alors il m'est venu a l'esprit de faire un article sur toutes les différences entre la France et les Etats Unis !

1.  Bread and dessert are not treats in France, in fact we have it for every meal

2. If you ask me to take a walk with you, I'll keep my regular cloth on, but not in America, you have to wear you sporty outfit

3. What a strange idea to put out a cheese plate for appetizer ? In France we have it after the salad, which is after the entrée (plat principal)

4. What's up with all the nuts here ? I know there are good for you but I see them everywhere, especially for appetizer, you can't forget the ball of nuts

5. I feel like people are more friendly here, they would say "hi" to you all the time, even "how are you". In France, nobody care really, which is really sad, but you wouldn't be able to ask a random person how he is doing...

6. Lunch here is not that important. People eat in there car, they eat stuff "to go" and they only grad a salad or sandwich and it's not a big deal. In France, we like to seat down for at least 30 minutes and have a real meal !

7. Military is a big deal here. Every year there is always few kids that are going to military right after High School, and there are all very respected by the rest of the school and honored. In France, I don't think I have ever met someone in my High School that was willing to go to Military.

8. Trains are slow here ! Forget about the TGV !

9. Ricola is candy for French people... But it's medicine here !! I didn't understand first why people wouldn't take any of my candy... It was like I was offering medicine to them...

10. I don't know if it's a thing in France but pregnant women are allowed here in America to drink a glass of wine every week...

11. Here you have to tip, that make such a big difference, cause first you have to make math after a super diner and it's not what you are looking for after a glass of wine (or two) and a nice date right ? 20% is usually that good tipping.

12. Toilets flush by themselves !! Tricks me ever time at the office and then at the house sometimes I forget cause I get use to it so much during the day !

13. New word that you absolutely need to know in America : Athleisure. It's the fact of wearing yoga pants to go to the grocery store or to go shopping (to the mall online of course). People in America want to be confortable all the time, so they were comfy cloth. But usually they look really good, it's like high fashion sports wear (check out lululemon)

14. Driving 30 minutes for coffee is not a problem in America, even if you end up not actually drinking up cause oh well, you are not thirsty anymore.

15. Dinner in America is around 5, maybe 6 if you are not that hungry and most often it's in front of the television that you will have your dinner. It's actually not that bad, I'm surprised I actually enjoy it !

16. There is more SUV (Sport utility vehicle) or just there is more cars in general in America. Petite parentheses en francis car oui je l'avoue je ne savais pas ce que voulais dire SUV, ni meme VUS la tradition canadienne of course. Pour les interessé petit lien de notre cher ami Wiki :

17. Yes American people, we don't have DD, iced coffee, peanut  butter or everything else made out of it, taco bell, pop tarts, baseball, lacrosse et je ne sais quoi !! But we have cheese and expresso don't worry, we are fine with it.

18. French toats, french fries, french vanilla, french manicure... WHAT ? Everything called french in America is not french at all !!

19. Yes, french women are thin and yes they eat bread and cheese. The good question is how ? Well I don't know. I guess we have cigarette or expresso breaks instead of cheetos or bagel breaks.

20. Hair and make up (and nails) is way more important in America. But I think French women still look pretty good.

21. Be happy to leave in America cause you can ask for free water everywhere and in all public places you'll find a water fountain. In France, not so much...

22. Here in america, you can find gum in the vending machines. Oh yes, my dream come true !

23. Your last name can be Macdonalds and nobody will laugh at your face... In France people could think you are actually joking.

24. What's up with all the delivery, it's almost to a point where if the place doesn't deliver than you won't make the offert to get in your car (cause yes of course you don't drive, neither bike) and get the food, then the place loses customer. Great tips for american food place: DELIVER and you'll be successful.

25...Many more but mostly clichés so it won't be interesting right ?

But most important of all, we are both fabulous, I love America and I love France. It would be hard for me to choose where to live. I like them both and I want to keep it that way.
